Rest in Heaven: Heavy D

Just like when we lost Michael, when I heard the news of Heavy D’s passing I didn’t want to believe it. Mom and I LOVE us some “Overweight Lover” and we jammed out watching VHL Soul all night. Though we didn’t know him personally, he radiated a warmness about him that made you just want to hug and kiss him all day! He appeared to be such a sweetheart and just full of positivity; his appearance on Living Single really put it in my mind that he was truly gifted. To make the transition from Rapper to Actor (he’s been in many films and movies) just proves that when God makes you in his image, as he does us all; that amount of talent you possess is endless; if you just use it!.

Without further ado let’s get this send-off started. We partying for you all day, everyday.
Let’s take it back down memory lane.

and last but most certainly not least

Rest In Heaven: Civil Rights Leader & Reverend Fred Shuttlesworth

a U.S. civil rights activist who led the fight against segregation and other forms of racism as a minister in Birmingham, Alabama. He was a co-founder of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, was instrumental in the 1963 Birmingham Campaign, and continued to work against racism and for alleviation of the problems of the homeless in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he took up a pastorate in 1961. He returned to Birmingham after his retirement in 2007.

Rest In Heaven Mr. Shuttlesworth

Rest In Heaven: Steve Jobs

“Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking until you find it. Don’t settle."
-Steve Jobs (1955 - 2011)

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.” - Steve Jobs

I believe he knew his time was coming, after living such a plentiful and instrumental life Mr. Jobs passed yesterday. I Pray that he recognized Jesus as his lord and savior and is enjoying his new job and home in Heaven. Rest in Heaven Mr. Jobs

RIP Amy....

a talented young woman....taken from us, too soon? I believe God has his reasons for releasing people from this life, to hopefully begin a new one in heaven. alot of people have and will say such cruel things about the life Amy led, when infact many of us know or are just like Amy. weather it be substance abuse, self-inflicted pain, imprisonment of our mind, or worshiping false idols_ we all have demons; and no sin is greater than any other sin, so again we are all in the same boat.

I enjoyed a few of Amy's; she had an extremely unique voice that will ring in my ears everytimei hear this song....the pain, the emotion, it was so heartfelt- it's one of my favorites. May God take Amy into his open arms and release from within it whatever wasn't right and give her peace that she would've never found on this earth.

Rest in Heaven: RIP Nate Dogg

I normally don't post RIP blogs, as I feel as though life should be rejoiced but this one really did hurt deep. one of the first rap videos i saw featured Nate Dogg, Warren G Regulators; for the Above the Rim Soundtrack. His voice is unmatched, and his features are memorable even after all these years. We lost another Great, but i know where he is now is better than being here for sure. if you smoke, put one in the air for the big homie; but if you like me, crack open a bottle and get right for our fallen homie- may the lord our father welcome you with open arms as this beautiful angel gets his wings!

a youtube comment: he is alive..just push the PLAY button !!!
